Garret formed in 2000 following a series of chance meetings:
Ish met Jim on an archaeology course and found he had been applying himself to songwriting rather than collecting ancient relics.
Bri met Ish at kung fu club and discovered their shared interest in rhythm construction as well as smashing things.
Jim met Noz near a fountain where he lost his pipe and glasses. "I was listening for sub frequencies", he explained.
